Library Research Methods - Graduate Students

Different Types of Access

Remote Access Instructions:

Access to subscribed databases restricted to authorized Chapman University students, faculty, and staff. The majority of our subscribed databases are accessible off campus.

Login Tips:

You will be prompted to enter your Chapman network username and password once you log in to any of our databases when off campus. Your username is the first part of your Chapman email.

You can always call the Reference Services at 714-532-7714 if you experience a problem with login. If it is after hours, please email us at libweb@chapman.edu and include a description of your database access problem.

Note:

If you use a firewall on your personal computer or you are connecting to the Internet in a place that uses a firewall and you can not connect, please turn off the firewall temporarily and try to login again.

You may borrow an unlimited number of items from the Leatherby Libraries circulating items each semester, however, masters students can borrow 75 items and Ph.D. students can borrow 100 items at a time. Please carefully review the above policies.

Interlibrary Loan is available to current students, faculty, and staff of Chapman University and Brandman University.

Interlibrary Loan Services allows you to request books and articles that the Leatherby Libraries does not own them. You will receive an email notifying you when the item is available for you to pick up.

*To be able to use this service, remember to update your library account at the Circulation Desk at the beginning of each semester.
