What is GIS?

GIS is a branch of Geography, and stands for Geographic Information Systems. GIS integrates computer hardware and software to enable users to capture, manage, visualize, and analyze spatial data through maps.

The goal and purpose of GIS to manage data through the power of maps, helping us see patterns, relationships, and trends that can inform better decisions.
